Bringing Solar-Powered Water to Niourkadji and Beyond

Clean Water for All. From the Ground Up.

Last year, thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we successfully installed a solar-powered water system in the village of Mboyyo Dierry. This system now provides sustainable, clean water to hundreds of people, powering gardens, homes, and hope.

This year, we are ready to do it again — this time for four villages in the commune of Guédé Village: Niourkadji, Gadou Diok, Croisement Guédé Chantiers, and Gourel Dieri.

These four communities share a single borehole. With a population of nearly 4,000 people, access to a stable, reliable water supply is critical.

Why This Project Matters

This borehole supports:

  • Four women’s gardens, where families grow food and generate income

  • Three elementary schools, filled with children who deserve a healthy environment to learn and thrive

  • Hundreds of trees, including mango, lemon, and shade-giving species that are vital to the ecosystem

  • Numerous livestock, cared for by local herders who depend on water to keep animals healthy

At the moment, water access is inconsistent and often physically demanding. Installing a solar-powered pumping system will provide sustainable and equitable access to clean water — without relying on fuel or frequent manual labor.

What We Need

Our local technician, Mr. Sow, who led the successful installation in Mboyyo Dierry, has identified the materials and costs needed for this project:

We have your support and the local desire — but we still need nearly $4,000 to complete the system.

Your Support Makes It Possible

Every contribution, no matter the size, brings us closer to sustainable water for thousands of people. This is more than an infrastructure project — it’s an investment in community health, food security, education, and resilience.

We invite you to be part of this effort.
